They’ve Got the Goods

They’ve Got the Goods

Written by Tucker Karpoff

Good Goods Company: a group of community and sustainability focused individuals set on breaking down the barriers preventing community members from accessing products made in the community, by the community, for the community.

Good Goods has carefully created a space for people excited to support hyper-local artisanal products, and in turn, an area for our local artisans to share their products with the community in an easy and convenient way. They have carefully curated the most interesting selections available. So far, they’ve pulled together hundreds of local products for you to peruse and created a delivery system that will take your purchases straight to your door. Does that mean you’re going to get a bunch of boxes if you purchase from more than one vendor? No! Sustainability is one of their focuses, so to reduce their carbon footprint, they have centralized their packaging and delivery system. No matter how many different vendors you purchase from, you get everything together in one box (or two if you’ve gotten really excited).

How it started:

The idea for Good Goods started with a small group of local business owners in the Edmonton area who found a unique way for other small businesses to reach the rest of the community. When small, your focus is building the best possible version of your product. But then, where does that leave you for marketing, merchandising, fulfillment and delivery (especially in the Covid-19 climate)? More so than trying to find the time and energy to do all that, you’re now faced with learning an entirely new skillset in how to market your product and create a delivery line.

But what if that wasn’t a barrier anymore? And so, Good Goods was established. Good Goods lets their artisans focus on what they do best by navigating the pieces that don’t require the artisan’s particular talent. By leveraging their collective momentum, Good Goods helps businesses thrive by introducing them to the rest of the community: you.

Ok, so you know who they are and what they do, but do they have what you’re looking for?

Good Goods products are great for every occasion. Looking for a healthier breakfast option? They’ve got that. Have a special occasion and are looking for that “little bit extra”? What about a gift? No problem. Browse through their selections and you’re sure to find what you’re looking for. Feeling adventurous and looking for something new and interesting to try? Explore all of their exceptional goods! And maybe you’re just looking to support the local community. That’s Good Goods! That’s what they do! Good Goods makes finding local products, shopping local, easy and convenient.

And!

The curators are always adding more vendors and products, so be sure to keep checking back to discover what’s new!

Where they are headed:

So far, Good Goods has created a platform for the Edmonton area community, but why stop there? Why not take this to the broader Alberta community? Supporting the Economy of Alberta is important, but so is keeping the character of our community vibrant. By expanding, we work together with hyper-local and broader-local communities to bring in products and vendors from areas that you would otherwise never see, and to bring products and vendors to areas that would never otherwise be able to access the variety of talent Good Goods offers.

By shopping local, we support each other and help each other grow and thrive. With this in mind, Good Goods is working to break down barriers and create connections throughout our Alberta community. They are making it not just easy, but convenient, to find local, support local, and to support each other. So, click that mouse and check them out!
